The Many Issues That the FDD Must Facing Regarding Iran Supporting Terror
Iran supporting terror is still visible until this day as keeping such relationships with militant and terrorist groups are crucial to the foreign policies of Iran. With Iran, you are always sure to see it to be standing out as a sponsor in the many big organizations that are part of the Middle East. International terrorism seems very apparent among the country most especially as it still allows to do terror attacks outside of their territories. With the destabilization and terrorism efforts of Iran, you can say that the U.S. have found all of them threatening with what interests they have in mind as well as with the allies that they have found in the Middle East. The terror activities that Iran has been doing has been shown to really put some destabilization with the region and has even led to make worst the civil wars that are already happening. The capacity of Iran to strike something in the U.S. is still apparent even if Iran does not look to target the U.S. more specifically. Iran decides that it is better to attack U.S. assets outside of their war zones to serve as contingency when the U.S. decides to attack them or to deter the U.S.
All of these terror plans and terrorism acts are the main reason why the Foundation for Defense of Deomcracies or the FDD has come into the picture. The advocacy organization called FDD or Foundation for Defense of Democracies was founded after the 9/11 attacks were done. What drives the FDD to fight is that they are no supporters of the terror attacks being done by the Middle East all the while making sure that in Washington, they adapt a pro-Israel kind of policy. The FDD started off with opting for a more ideologic approach against the militant acts of the Islam being a democratic society that they are. Now, you can see that the FDD is practicing a more wholesome approach starting with the promotion of pluralism, the fight for ideologies that are pro-terrorism, and the defense of democratic values. The FDD has been established after the education initiative called the EMET that was founded in 2001 to support the response of Israel against the Palestinian Intifada. Furthermore, this was done to decrease the opposition against the actions of the Israelites.
Currently, with the CEO Mark Dubowitz of FDD and the experts of the FDD, efforts are now being put forth to advocate for the presence of the U.S. military and their interventions in the Middle East taking note of Syria and Iran, in particular. Some of the moments of the FDD that are popular include advocating with Israel against Palestine, supporting the war in Iraq, and in setting policies for Iran with overturning their nuclear deal.
